I've never opened up before...

I've never really engaged with my customers and patrons in the past, preferring instead to remain professional and not having personal life interfere with the business I've been trying to build. Anyone who has seen my personal Facebook page knows that I tend to be a very private person, not wishing to air personal business online.

I assure you this is not changing. However, I no longer have the opportunities to engage with customers in the meaningful way that events and craft fairs provided, so I think that has stunted the growth of this business.

As many are aware, when you buy a handmade item, you are supporting not just a small growing (hopefully!) business, you are also making the choice to trust in that proprietor/artist and telling them I believe in you and I believe in your work. I believe you have value as a person and as an artist by contributing beauty to this world and I want to own a piece of that. And as an artist, that means the world to us because you are giving us a piece of you, your hard earned money: blood, sweat, tears, frustration, time away from family and loved ones, money that could be otherwise spent on groceries or bills, and you have chosen to forego those things to instead, invest in an artist whose work you admire. You are our heroes.

So, before I go on with the next post in a separate cover, I wanted to open this blog thread with a very heartfelt thank you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for your appreciation, compliments and admiration. Most of all, thank you for your support, in ALL forms.

Please Like, Share and Comment your support of @TapphireCreations and all handmade artists.
